Fuel rail heat shields prevent the fuel rail from absorbing radiant heat into the fuel delivery system. This will improve performance and help reduce instances of pre-ignition. In addition to keeping the fuel headed to the motor cool, it will also help the fuel returning to your fuel cell to remain cool. Over a long distance race, keeping fuel temps down returning to the fuel cell can be almost as vital as keeping the fuel delivered to the motor cool. Warm fuel returning to the fuel cell will heat up the fuel in the cell, and cause it to boil off some of the chemicals that are in your fuel. This changes the chemical balance of your fuel and greatly affects your previously tuned settings. Keeping fuel cool helps to preserve the chemical balance of the fuel and keeps your vehicle operating at maximum efficiency! Installation tips: Tape and Radiant heat barrier, requires 1" of airspace. Not designed for direct contact. Warnings: Always wear safety glasses, dust mask, gloves and long sleeves are recommended when handling this product. Caution this material is electrically conductive; be sure to insulate any terminals that might come in contact with this product.
